TRANSITIONAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY PROGRAM

 

Thank you for your interest in our Transitional Medicine Residency Program.  Outlined below are the requirements for the 2008-2009 Program Year.

 

APPLICATION SUBMISSION         Must apply to our Program through ERAS.  Interviews will be

                                                                        Conducted in November, December and January

 

            VISA REQUIREMENTS                   Will consider only the following:

-          Permanent Resident

-          J-1 application

-          Transfer of existing H-1  (The decision to sponsor is not made until October or November).   If we should decide to sponsor

H-1, we require that you have taken and passed step 3 by no later than January 31, 2007.

 

Medical School performance              candidates who failed a year of clinical or preparatory training will not be considered.

 

USMLE SCORES                               Scores of 90 or higher on steps 1 and 2.  Must have step 2-CS by no later than 12/31/07.  Candidates with failing grades will not be considered.

 

            PREVIOUS U.S.

            CLINICAL EXPERIENCE                Preferred

 

            YEAR OF GRADUATION                Candidates who have graduated 2005 or later

 

            PRE-MATCH POSITIONS

            OFFERED                                          All positions offered are through the NRMP Match.
